Shelf Drilling has confirmed the extension of contracts for its Chaophraya and Krathong jack-up rigs, in collaboration with Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production . The contracts, valued at approximately USD 197 million, ensure the continued operation of these rigs in the Gulf of Thailand for an additional period of two years, starting in the second half of 2025.

Greg O’Brien, CEO of Shelf Drilling, highlighted the adaptability of the Chaophraya and Krathong platforms to Chevron ‘s standard procedures, an essential feature that has strengthened the relationship between the two companies in the oil sector.
