AtoB@C Shipping celebrated the christening of its second plug-in hybrid vessel, the Stellamar, in Ystad, Sweden . This event marked a significant achievement for the company, as it was the first time one of its vessels was christened in its hometown.
The ceremony was given a personal touch when Stella Rowland and Stella Passinen, daughters of key figures from AtoB@C Shipping and Metsä Group, had the honor of naming the Stellamar. This new-generation vessel stands out for its ability to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 50%, thanks to advanced technologies such as grid connection and an extensive battery installation. In addition, its quieter and cleaner operations in port underscore the company’s commitment to sustainability.
