On August 23, Hanwha Ocean celebrated the delivery of the GasLog Italy, a state-of-the-art liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, to its Greek owners under GasLog’s management. This vessel is the first of four the company is scheduled to deliver between 2024 and 2025, each with a cargo capacity of 174,000 m3.

The GasLog Italy is powered by two HP-2S MEGI engines, a technology recognized for its efficiency and low environmental impact. In addition, it features two shaft generators, an air lubrication system (ALS) that improves fuel efficiency, and a full reliquefaction system (FRS) that allows for optimal handling of the LNG during transport.
[post_relacionado]The vessel, 294.9 meters long and 46.4 meters wide, was officially christened on July 10 in a ceremony at Hanwha Ocean’s shipyard in Geoje, South Korea. During the ceremony, Mrs. Ilaria Azzimonti, Head of Eni S.p.A.’s LNG Portfolio, acted as godmother, sealing the event with the traditional breaking of a bottle of champagne over the vessel’s hull.
