Bluejay Mining, a mining exploration and development company, has announced the launch of a work campaign to evaluate possible geological hydrogen and helium deposits in the Outokumpu Belt, Finland.
Major geological hydrogen and helium discoveries
The initiative is part of a low-cost, wide-ranging strategic approach that will leverage historical data and modern exploration methods to accelerate the evaluation of these resources. Bluejay Mining is relying on a strong geological data base, including seismic reports and historical deep drilling, to direct its efforts in this geologically rich region.
[post_relacionado]The Outokumpu Belt has already proven to be a promising source of geological hydrogen and helium. Previous studies by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) have revealed considerable concentrations of these gases in deep boreholes, with intersections showing up to 5.6% helium and 46% hydrogen in different zones.
In addition, lithium deposits lithium deposits have been identified in deep brines, with concentrations exceeding those found in the famous“Lithium Triangle” brines in South America. These discoveries establish the Outokumpu Belt in a favorable position for the extraction of high-value industrial resources.
The geological potential of the Outokumpu Belt.
The geology of the Outokumpu Belt is comparable to that of the Lorraine region of France, which hosts the largest known deposit of white hydrogen in the world. This geological parallel highlights the significant potential for the region to host industrial hydrogen and helium deposits.
Successful exploration and extraction of these gases would not only provide substantial value for Bluejay Mining‘s shareholders, but would also position the company as a leader in the exploitation of geological resources in Europe.
Bluejay Mining’ s work program includes a number of advanced exploration methods to assess the presence of hydrogen and helium in the Outokumpu Belt: from surface and deep well water sampling for possible gassy cracks. In addition, flow and pumping tests will be set up, as well as well packing and borehole magnetic resonance(BMR) practices to measure porosity levels and hydrogen and helium potential.
