A solar plant that has been commissioned requires maintenance to achieve maximum production, using tools such as Track Solar. Therefore, it is important to perform preventive maintenance of the installed solar modules.
The Solar Track, specialized for solar maintenance
Preventive maintenance is indispensable for solar modules, and cleaning activities are mainly focused on them. Under normal conditions, where dust and dirt accumulation is not significant, module cleaning is performed periodically. However, in places with high dust levels, such as the state of Rajasthan, the frequency of cleaning increases.

Although solar plants require little maintenance, due to the absence of moving parts, regular cleaning and servicing of the modules is essential to maintain operational efficiency.
Regular maintenance includes several key activities, such as cleaning the modules, inspecting them for defects, and checking structural stability. The use of a tractor-mounted solar module cleaning system, known as a “solar track,” is presented as an effective and efficient solution.
The use and implementation of the tool
This cleaning system uses a soft brush, powered by a hydraulic system, to remove dirt, dust and animal droppings from the solar modules. In addition, it has a built-in water tank that allows cleaning without the need for detergent. Each brush extends over the entire arm, and automatically adjusts to the angle of the modules due to its pivoting system, allowing for uniform and damage-free cleaning.
This system uses approximately one third of the water required for manual cleaning, applying pressurized water for effective cleaning with less resource consumption. In addition, thanks to its design, the operator can operate the system from the tractor, which not only improves cleaning efficiency, but also improves operator safety by avoiding risks related to the terrain and local fauna.

The solar track offers the capacity to clean between 15,000 and 25,000 modules in eight hours, a figure that far exceeds the capabilities of manual cleaning or even other robotic systems. This maintenance efficiency ensures that solar plants operate at maximum capacity throughout their lifetime.
