The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) has approved financial support for the PureH2 project. This project focuses on optimizing purification systems for green hydrogen storage in salt cavities.
The PureH2 project
This planning is led by Enagás, in collaboration with partners such as CRS Ingeniería, Trinity Energy Storage, H2SITE and the mining company Iberpotash (ICL Iberia). The PureH2 project is part of the renewable hydrogen innovation aid program of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument.

Now, Trinity’s Exploration Director, Julio Matesanz, has commented on the role of the PureH2 project in promoting subway storage of renewable energy, important for the complete decarbonization of the economy.
Finally, Andrés Galnares, CEO of H2SITE, pointed out the unique opportunity offered by the project to demonstrate the effectiveness of palladium alloy membrane technology under various gas composition and pressure conditions.
