Beryl made landfall near Matagorda yesterday, forcing the closure of ports and channels. Although some facilities reduced production, a moderate impact on oil and gas production is anticipated. The U.S. National Hurricane Center . anticipated that Beryl would gradually weaken to a tropical depression. The storm was moving north-northeastward and was expected to accelerate its path from the Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley over the next few days.
