The energy company Endesa, through its renewable energy subsidiary Enel Green Power España (EGPE), has begun construction of three new solar plants, called Envatios I, II and III, located in the municipality of Carmona in Seville, Spain.

These installations, which together have a total capacity of 131.22 MW, bring to eleven the number of solar plants that Endesa has deployed in Seville and are expected to generate 257 GWh per year, enough to supply around 65,000 homes.
[post_relacionado]For the construction of these plants, Endesa will employ more than 250 people, a figure that will be achieved thanks to the training programs in the installation of photovoltaic panels and maintenance of these infrastructures, initiated by the company in 2020. These courses have trained more than 500 people in the province of Seville, thus promoting the specialization of the local workforce.
In order to increase sustainability during the construction process, Endesa has implemented several ecological measures. These include the installation of photovoltaic solar panels panels to cover part of the site’s energy needs, the use of rainwater collection tanks and systems to save water, electric vehicle chargers, and energy-efficient lighting. Once the work is completed, these resources will be donated to the municipality of Carmona for use in public facilities.
The implementation of high technology
In addition, the installation process of the new photovoltaic plants will benefit from the use of advanced technologies. Drones will be used to monitor the work, Smart Glasses for remote assistance, and special sensors on heavy machinery that will stop their movement if they detect the presence of workers in the safety perimeter.
Endesa operates a total of 71 renewable plants in Andalusia, distributed in 11 solar, 12 wind, one biomass and 48 hydroelectric plants. In addition, through EGPE, the company is completing the 86.18 MW Aljarafe solar plant in the province of Seville and continues to explore new renewable energy projects in the region.
