Recently, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India (ONGC) has selected Nauvata Energy Transition (NET Enterprise) and PERC Engineering to carry out the preliminary study and engineering design (FEED) of Cluster-1 in the basin of Krishna Godavari (KG), located in the Bay of Bengal countryside.
ONGC allocates FEED contract for oil exploration
This comprehensive contract will include conceptual analysis, tender package development and project management consulting , for two key segments in this eastern coastal region of India. The project will be divided into two main parts: the first will address the integrated development of wells DWN-E1, DWN-F1 of the Cluster-1 block and GS29. Also, it will focus on the second phase of connecting wells G-1-9 Sub and G-1-15 to the existing G1 gathering structure.
[post_relacionado]This new contract follows ONGC’s initial success in extracting first oil from the KG-DWN-98/2 project, where NET Enterprise and its consortium partner provided project management consulting services for various aspects of the project. .
Baroruchi Mishra, CEO of NET Enterprise, highlighted the company’s experience and track record in providing quality services in the oil and gas industry. “This new contract reflects confidence in our ability to handle complex projects, as we demonstrated with KG-DWN-98/2, one of the most challenging deepwater developments globally.“Mishra noted.
For his part, Felipe González, president of PERC Engineering , expressed his satisfaction at collaborating on this project in India, a new geographic area for the company, which has carried out projects in America, Europe and Africa. “We hope that this project will strengthen our presence in the market and consolidate long-term relationships with such prestigious partners as ONGC and Nauvata,” González added.
In the KG Basin, Group 3 is the largest, with nine ultra-deepwater gas wells and planned capex of $3.2 billion , while Group 1 encompasses oil and gas developments at depths of 80 to 700 meters.
