A capacity of 14,331 MW of offshore wind energy is expected to be developed in these areas, contributing significantly to Spain’s energy independence and the reduction of carbon emissions.
With the goal of reaching up to 3 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, Spain is aligned with national and European objectives for the promotion of renewable energies, opting for wind turbine technology in deep waters where fixed foundations are not viable.
