GD Energy Products (GDEP), the leading total solutions provider to the well service, drilling and fracturing pump market, and Catalyst Energy Services, a stimulation services startup specializing in hydraulic fracturing treatment , announce their partnership in hydraulic fracturing technology to deliver high power and lower emissions.
[post_relacionado]Together, the companies are committed to innovating and testing technology that improves operations and ESG performance.
Catalyst Energy Services selected GDEP’s Thunder 5000, an 11-inch stroke quintuplex pump rated for 5,000 horsepower, to safely maximize flow at slower operating speed in its patent-pending eco-conscious fracking solution , VortexPrimeÔ.
The pump contributes to the patented technology within VortexPrime that reduces the number of trucks in its fleet from twenty to eight, allowing for faster assembly and disassembly, making it a viable option for remote and hard-to-reach sites. To date, VortexPrime has completed more than 12,000 stages and has provided pumping and operational data to help companies continually improve performance.
Catalyst Energy Services’ first-of-its-kind, award-nominated VortexPrime solution features direct-drive turbine technology powered by natural gas, reducing CO-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions by up to 40%2, reducing footprint by up to 55% and removing up to 99% of waste, compared to conventional fracking fleets.
