Rhodium is one of the most precious materials worldwide and has a price 14 times higher than gold and diamond. It is a mineral with an appearance similar to platinum, very hard and resistant to corrosion, which is used mainly by the automotive industry.

Its chemical symbol is Rh, it is very scarce in the earth’s crust and according to experts, it is resistant to wear, oxidation and corrosion.
Mostly, Rhodium is used in the automotive industry, as catalytic converters to clean vehicle emissions, since they reduce nitrogen oxide from exhaust gases.
Likewise, because it is a fairly shiny and tarnish-resistant material, it is used as a finish for jewelry, reflectors, and mirrors. This mineral is also found in pacemakers, through an alloy with platinum.
Rhodium, fused with other materials, is used in furnace windings, nibs, phonograph needles, high-temperature thermocouples and resistance wires, electrodes for aircraft spark plugs, bearings, and electrical contacts.
