PV module producer Canadian Solar announced the sale of two UK solar PV generation and storage battery projects to specialist alternative asset manager Gresham House.
[post_relacionado]The two projects comprise a facility located in Durham, with a solar capacity of 50 MW and 38 MW (or 76 MWh) in storage batteries; in addition to an independent solar project in Warwickshire, of 28 MW.
Both companies aim to continue prioritizing renewable projects; where solar PV and battery storage plants are built together and share the same grid connection infrastructure.
According to Canadian Solar, these projects provide economic advantages, particularly in the form of shared capital and operating costs; as well as significant benefits to the UK network by improving system reliability. Also, there will be a greater integration of renewable energies, with which the United Kingdom will meet its objectives of zero carbon emissions.
