Certified and traceable wood pellets
The plant has SBP (Sustainable Biomass Program) and FSC certifications, guaranteeing that its production is in line with the highest environmental standards. With an annual capacity of 150,000 tons, it is positioned as one of the largest infrastructures of its kind in Colombia.

Colombia strengthens its presence in renewable energy
Until now, only one other company in the country, Reforestadora del Sinú, had SBP certification in this sector. The start of operations of Bioena’s plant represents a significant expansion of the national supply of biofuels with guaranteed traceability.
The first export load is scheduled for the end of October, marking the beginning of a new stage for Colombian biofuel in international markets.
