Ocergy has officially launched the RECORD15 project, a joint industry initiative that aims to install a floating turbine of more than 15 megawatts on its OCG-Wind floating platform by 2028.

With the signing of the FEED contract, Ocergy is collaborating with three major international developers: EnBW, Kyuden Mirai Energy and TEPCO Renewable Power. The tower will use a rigid structural approach, key to meeting the technical challenges of mounting turbines over 15 MW on floating foundations. This pilot will demonstrate integration, accelerated assembly and safe operation capabilities, essential for the future of offshore wind energy.
The information generated during the operation of the prototype will allow us to optimize maintenance strategies and feed financial viability models for commercial parks. In addition, third party certification will be sought as part of the risk mitigation process.
RECORD15 is projected as the intermediate link before deploying pre-commercial projects in Europe and subsequent large-scale developments in Europe and Asia.
