The plants located in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, were acquired by the CH4T biomethane platform in 2024, following a rigorous technical and territorial selection. The modernization of these plants will allow the biomethane generated to be injected directly into the Italian gas grid, within the framework of the FiP (Feed-in Premium) system, thus ensuring stable revenues for the next 15 years.
Conversion of seven biogas plants to biomethane
With this modernization process, the plants are expected to reach an annual production capacity of more than 295 GWh, which will prevent the emission of more than 85,400 tons of CO₂ per year. In addition, this project will help to valorize 401,865 tons of agricultural and livestock by-products, contributing directly to the circular economy and reducing the environmental impact of the industry.

CH4T, headquartered in Verona, specializes in the conversion of biogas into state-of-the-art biomethane into state-of-the-art biomethane.
