SMST will deliver two complete mission equipment packages for the new service operating vessels. service operation vessels (SOVs) ordered by LDA. (SOV) ordered by LDA. The sets include telescopic access gangways (TAB-L1), cargo and access towers (ACT) and 5-ton motion compensated cranes (MCC-M). This technology will be instrumental in facilitating safe and efficient offshore operations.
Strategic equipment for offshore operations
The new SOVs are being designed by Salt Ship Design and built by Chinese shipyard ZPMC. They are scheduled to enter operation in 2027 under a long-term charter contract with the energetic Vattenfall. The ships will operate at the wind farms DanTyskSandbank and the future Nordlicht 1 and 2 wind farms in German waters.
