The ROBOTERA company surprised everyone months ago by showing its first high-performance humanoid running through the Gobi desert. Designed to be versatile and general purpose, STAR1 combines strength, agility and dexterity in a single bipedal system.
Now, in a video recently posted on YouTube, the rhumanoid robot demonstrates an uncanny ability to manipulate objects with great finesse: it uses chopsticks with pinpoint accuracy, pours wine into glasses without spilling, and dispenses morsels as if it had haute cuisine training. These actions reveal an outstanding mastery of fine motor skills and haptic control, placing STAR1 at the forefront of humanoid robotics.

A high-performance humanoid robot
With 55 degrees of freedom and a maximum torque of 400 Nm per joint, STAR1 can reach a speed of up to 25 radians per second and execute complex movements such as jumps, turns or smooth transitions between postures. Its bionic arms with 7 DOF and robotic hands XHAND1 12 DOF fully active robotic hands enable fine, precise and adaptive interactions.
The integration of Intel processors and the Nvidia Orin platform allows STAR1 to operate with reinforcement learning algorithms. reinforcement learning and imitation learning and imitation learning algorithms, processing visual, tactile and auditory information in real time. This architecture facilitates its application in dynamic scenarios thanks to its multimodal perception capabilities.
Modular design focused on AI
Each STAR1 joint has been developed by ROBOTERA to maximize Sim2Real efficiency. Motors, sensors, and drive systems are integrated into a single compact and lightweight module, optimized to validate algorithms quickly and reliably.
