The five initiatives are located in Aragon, Andalusia, Asturias, the Basque Country and Murcia, and have a combined electrolysis capacity of 425 megawatts. The beneficiaries include companies such as Petronor (Repsol), EDP and Fertinagro, in collaboration with other industrial entities.
This deployment of industrial clusters powered by renewable hydrogen is a key step towards a less carbon-intensive industry. It also positions Spain as one of the driving forces of green hydrogen in Europe, in line with the EU objectives of energy transition and strategic autonomy.
